The future of vehicle computer systems is automated systems that control vehicle components and the vehicle as a whole without the involvement of the driver. This technology requires specialists to be trained at the university and to be involved in studies of microprocessor technology, programming, computer graphics systems, multimedia, methods of artificial intelligence, vision technology, methods and algorithms for optimal control, technology for the production of electronic devices for motor vehicles, design of microprocessor control systems for motor vehicles, technical diagnostics of electronic systems for motor vehicles, operation, repair and maintenance of electronic and electrical systems for motor vehicles. Graduates are in demand by research and design organizations, automotive factories, plants producing electronic and electrical equipment for cars and technical service centres. The positions they can hold are as follows: electrical engineer, electronics engineer, vehicle electrical diagnostic engineer, metrology engineer, workshop manager, chief power engineer, chief metrologist, plant manager. |
