The Faculty of Electrical Engineering was established in February, 1971 as the Electromechanical Faculty. At present, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering includes the following departments: "Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Units"; "Physical Methods of Control"; "Automatic Control Systems"; "Physics"; "Electrical Engineering and Electronics", "Information Technologies Software". The faculty has four doctors and 24 teachers holding PhD degrees. About 550 students are trained here.
In 1985, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering was the first to start training for international students. Over the past three decades specialists from 22 countries have been trained here. Graduates of the Faculty are in great demand in today's labor market in the Republic of Belarus and neighboring countries.
