Bachelor's training is based on the study of theoretical and applied mechanics, strength of materials, machine parts, electrical engineering, electronics and automation, hydro- and thermodynamics, materials science, technology of materials, economy and organization of production, basics of automation and design of technical devices and systems using computer technology, theory and technology of welding. The main professional activity is connected with the calculation and design of welded machine-building structures according to technical tasks and the use of standard design automation tools, development of working documentation, carrying out a feasibility study of technical solutions; organization of workplaces, their equipment with the placement of welding and auxiliary equipment, maintenance, checking the technical condition and residual life of the technological equipment. Graduates work in organizations developing welding processes and producing welded steel structures in the engineering, energy, petrochemical, construction, automotive industries; in welding laboratories and non-destructive testing of welded joints. The positions they can hold are as follows: manufacturing engineer, design engineer, foreman, engineer for introduction of new techniques and technologies, adjustment and testing engineer, shop technologist. |
