In 1997 Mikhail E. Lustenkov graduated with honors from the Mogilev Mechanical Engineering Institute with a degree in Technology of Mechanical Engineering, Metal Cutting Machines and Tools.
He received his PhD degree in Engineering in 2001, and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2003.
Mikhail Lustenkov worked as an assistant lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics, Head of the Sector for Work with International Students, Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, Vice-Rector for Research of the BRU. Currently, he is a part-time Associate Professor of the department of Fundamentals of Machine Design.
His research interests lie in the theory, calculation and design of small-sized mechanical transmissions of a new type (with compound intermediate rolling bodies). He is the author of over 200 scientific publications, including 4 monographs. He holds 38 patents for inventions and useful models. He supervised one PhD thesis research.
