By decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus on June 26, 2019, he was awarded the academic title of Professor specializing in Technology (Mechanical Engineering).
The main focus of his research is computer diagnostics and quality management of industrial machinery using machine learning systems. In this field, he carries out research and development of intelligent hardware and software systems for controlling the assembly of mechanical transmissions. His research covers optimizing kinematic accuracy, smoothness of operation, tooth contact patterns, and backlash. Additionally, he focuses on precision-ensuring systems in blade and abrasive machining; automated systems for designing technological tooling that utilize multifactorial optimization based on functional semantic networks; and innovative methods for solving complex manufacturing challenges.
The research results have been implemented at several industrial enterprises of the Republic of Belarus: the Minsk Tractor Plant, the Machine-Tool Plant “Krasny Borets”, Strommashina, Mogilevtransmash, the Mogilev Plant “Elektrodvigatel”, JSC “Mogilevliftmash”, the Mogilevkhimvolokno Production Association, etc.
V.M. Pashkevich is the author of over 250 publications, including 5 scientific monographs and 47 inventions. Additionally, he has produced more than 40 educational and methodological works, including one textbook and seven study guides.
He has been repeatedly awarded for his active and productive work:
