CANDIDATE OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Svirepa was born in Mogilev in 1981. After completing his secondary education at School No. 31, he enrolled at the Mogilev Mechanical Engineering Institute. In 2004, he graduated from the Belarusian-Russian University with majors in Technology, Equipment and Automation of Mechanical Engineering and Accounting, Analysis and Audit (with honors) and joined the RUE “Mogilev Plant Electrodvigatel” as a process engineer. In the same year, he enrolled in postgraduate studies at the Belarusian-Russian University. Upon completing the program in 2007, he was appointed to the Department of Metal-Cutting Machines and Tools, where he held positions of teaching assistant trainee, assistant lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor. In 2013, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in the specialty 05.02.08 – Mechanical Engineering Technology. Since 2014, he has been an associate professor in the Engineering Graphics Department, Head of the Engineering Graphics Department (2015–2018), and Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (2018–2025). Since November 26, 2025, he has held the position of First Vice-Rector of the Belarusian-Russian University while concurrently serving as an associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
His research interests include hardening technologies and magnetodynamic treatment of critical machine part surfaces. He is the author of over 130 scientific, research-methodological, and educational-methodological works, including 26 scientific papers published in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, two monographs. Additionally, he holds 27 patents for inventions. He has been awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and a Certificate of Merit and Honorary Certificate of Merit from the Belaya Rus Public Association.
