The judo team of the Belarusian-Russian University participated in the Mogilev Oblast U-23 Open Championship among young people, which took place from March 22 to 23, 2021. The competition was attended by 69 judo athletes of the Mogilev region, more than half of whom were students of higher educational institutions, members of national and combined teams of the Republic of Belarus.
The BRU athletes demonstrated their skills and fighting spirit and won a number of awards. The best result among young men was shown by Yuri Burko (Faculty of Automotive Engineering), who won first place in 90 kg weight class. Vadim Budkevich (73 kg weight class) and Kirill Volkov (66 kg weight class) won the silver medals. In women’s judo competition, Natalia Vlasova (Faculty of Engineering and Economics, 70 kg weight class); Anastasia Ragovskaya (Faculty of Economics, 58 kg weight class); Elena Romaniuk (Faculty of Engineering and Economics, 48 kg weight class) took first place. Anna Golenkova (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, 70 kg weight class) won the silver medal of the championship.
