Students of the Belarusian-Russian University took part in the International Essay Competition “Scimazing: How To Make Science Fun?”. The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of Yaroslavl State Technical University (Russian Federation). The competition was dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation.
The Essay Competition was held in three age groups (13-18 years, 19-24 years, 25-35 years) in English and German. The contestants were invited to share their ideas on how to make science engaging and exciting. More than 400 students from 30 universities of Russia, Belarus, Tunisia, Great Britain and Gabon took part in the competition.
The students of the Belarusian-Russian University demonstrated excellent writing abilities and received high scores from the judging panel.
Artiom Melnikov, a master’s student, “Transport” major, took first place in the 19-25 age group with an essay in English (the supervisor is Elena N. Melnikova, a senior lecturer of the Humanities Department);
Eduard Kapelko (PIR-201 group) took second place in the 19-25 age group with an essay in German (the supervisor is Ekaterina A. Konopliova, a senior lecturer of the Humanities Department);
Anna Kovaliova (ZAR-201 group) took third place in the 13-18 age group with an essay in English (the supervisor is Anna A. Razmakhnina, a senior lecturer of the Humanities Department);

All participants received certificates of participation.
