BELARUSIAN-RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY TOOK PART IN INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL TRADE FAIR INNOPROM
The Belarusian-Russian University took part in the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM, which was held in Ekaterinburg, the Russian Federation, from July 5 to July 8, 2021, as part of the joint section of science, technology and innovation of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian-Russian University was represented by the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Vladimir Shemenkov.
The following research and development products developed by the university’s scientists were presented at the Fair:
- technology for finishing and strengthening pneumatic centrifugal treatment (PCT) of diesel engine cylinder liners (developed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor A. P. Minakov and Candidate of Technical Sciences Associate Professor E. V. Iliushina);
- intelligent system for design of machine tool accessories based on functional semantic networks (developed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor V. M. Pashkevich and Candidate of Technical Sciences M. N. Mironova);
- control systems based on virtual instrument technology (developed by Candidate of Technical Sciences Associate Professor S. V. Bolotov, N. V. Gerasimenko and I. V. Kurlovich);
- SPHERIO_MSeries reducers (developed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor M. E. Lustenkov);
- mechanically alloyed composite powders for gas-thermal coatings (developed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor F. G. Lovshenko and Candidate of Technical Sciences A. S. Fedosenko);
- inertia pulse hole burnishing tool (developed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor V. M. Pashkevich and V. V. Afanevich);
- technology for combined magnetodynamic rolling in an active processing medium (developed by Candidate of Technical Sciences Associate Professor A. M. Dovgalev, Candidate of Technical Sciences Associate Professor D. M. Svirepa and I. A. Taradeiko).
The Belarusian-Russian University’s research and development products aroused keen interest among the Trade Fair visitors. The University’s stand was recognized as the most technologically advanced and informative. The national exposition of the INNOPROM’s permanent participant was accompanied for the first time by an online platform. New technologies allowed the guests not only to quickly and easily find the Belarusian pavilion at the exhibition, but also to see all the research and development products presented. A few clicks - and you get a detailed deion of the product of interest or contact information about enterprises for future cooperation.
INNOPROM featured more than 100 business events dedicated to the main issues of industrial development including digitalization of industry, production automation, cybersecurity, robotics, energy conservation and energy efficiency, waste management and recycling, development of hydrogen technologies, personnel training, etc. The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin attended the Fair. Besides, the Fair was visited by the Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation Arkady Dvorkovich, the Director for European Countries of the Enel Group Simone Mori, the Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pirelli Marco Tronchetti Provera, the authorized representative of the Volkswagen Group for Russia and the CIS, Chairman of the Board at ŠKODA AUTO Thomas Schäfer, the Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR Holding Dmitry Konov and other businessmen.

INNOPROM is one of the key sites of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation serving as a platform where foundations of industrial policy are laid. About 80% of the Fair visitors are professional buyers from around the world and experts of industrial enterprises who make decisions about manufacturing of new products and technologies.
INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010.
