Solemn ceremony of matriculation
On September 1, a solemn ceremony of matriculation was held for newly enrolled students.
First Vice Rector of the University Mikhail Evgenievich Lustenkov congratulated the first-year students on the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the academic year. During the ceremony the students were welcomed by representatives of deans, the Student Council and the Student Trade Union Committee of the University.
One of the significant moments of the event was the flag raising ceremony and releasing balloons into the sky. At the end of the event the deans gave academic record books and student identity cards to the first-year students of their faculties.
