Open Day at the Belarusian Russian University
The Open Day was held at the Belarusian Russian University on September 29. The event was attended by students in their final year from more than thirty-five schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of the city of Mogilev and Mogilev region, as well as by students of gymnasium No. 1 of Smolensk. On that day, more than 500 prospective students visited the University.
Deans, heads of departments, representatives of employing organizations and the University graduates who have become well-known in the Republic of Belarus and achieved success in their careers took part in the event.
First Vice Rector of the University Mikhail Evgenievich Lustenkov spoke about advantages of studying at the Belarusian Russian University.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was presented by Andrey Aleksandrovich Bodiako, a former graduate, Deputy Director of Tekhnolit UChNPP (Mogilev). He stressed the importance of mechanical engineering specialties for the development of the economy of the Republic of Belarus.
Viktor Arkadievich Matievich, General Director of Mogotex OAO (Mogilev), presented the Faculty of Automotive Engineering. Viktor Arkadievich drew attention to the fact that engineering education is a key factor of being a leader in any field.
Viktor Vulfovich Shpuntov, Director of Mogilev branch of EPAM SYSTEMS IOOO presented the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. In his speech, Viktor Volfovich noted that the Belarusian Russian University provides the necessary theoretical background for the IT specialist training.
The Faculty of Construction was presented by Andrey Nikolaevich Moskalev, Director of the Unitary Public Utility Subsidiary ‘Department of Capital Construction of the City of Mogilev’, the winner of the ‘Realt Golden Key 2017’ competition in the category ‘Person of the Year. Developer’. He described particularities and emphasized advantages of construction specialties, shared his memories from student life at the Belarusian Russian University.
Aleksandr Ivanovich Kashpar, Rector’s Assistant, and Dmitry Konstantinovich Gridasov, Lead Engineer-Technologist of welding production of Promtekhmontazh OOO, presented the Faculty of Engineering and Economics. In their opinions, the unique characteristic of the Belarusian Russian University is that students can choose courses according to educational standards of the Republic of Belarus or educational standards of the Russian Federation.
The Faculty of Economics was presented by Philip Andreyevich Siniuk, a specialist of the SZAO ‘Servolux’ Marketing Department. And the Engineering Faculty of Correspondence Education was presented by the dean of the Faculty Vladimir Dmitrievich Rogozhin.
In addition, the University students arranged a concert and showcased their musical and performing talents. In general, the Open Day was held in a festive atmosphere.
Prospective students got information about educational opportunities available at the University, the faculties and the enrollment campaign in 2019.
