The Industrial and Civil Engineering Department acquired a ground penetrating radar ‘OKO-3’ intended for engineering and geotechnical survey of soils and non-destructive testing of (non-metallic) building structures.
The ground penetrating radar ‘OKO-3’ can be used when performing contract-based inspection of building structures, survey of roads and railway embankments as well as in research projects.
In addition, the ground penetrating radar ‘OKO-3’ can be successfully used in the educational process for teaching a modern practical training course ‘Construction Technology under Special Conditions’ for students majoring in ‘Industrial and Civil Engineering’ and ‘Automobile Roads’ as well as for laboratory projects on the course ‘Diagnostics of Roads’.
