An initiative under the slogan ‘Youth against HIV’ took place at the Belarusian-Russian University on the occasion of World AIDS Day.
The event was organized by the Social Pedagogical and Psychological Counseling Office of the University and volunteers of the ‘From Heart to Heart’ Club acting under the auspices of the Belarusian Red Cross Society. In order to increase knowledge about the problem of HIV infection and facilitate responsible health behavior among university students, the volunteers held intellectual games and information sessions, where the issue of the spread of HIV infection, the ways in which HIV is transmitted and the ways to prevent the risk of HIV infection were discussed.
During the big break, everyone had an opportunity to take part in the quiz ‘What do I know about HIV/AIDS?’ and test their knowledge on the issue, get informed about the ways in which HIV is transmitted and express their solidarity with people who are struggling with this problem.
On December 1, as part of the Global AIDS Campaign and World HIV/AIDS Day, the student volunteers of the ‘From Heart to Heart’ Club took part in the city initiatives ‘Youth Against HIV’ and ‘Together, We’ll Get Through This’. The students distributed leaflets, held a quiz and provided information about the problem of HIV/AIDS.
