Lectures on the topic ‘Basic Information Security Concepts and Activities in the Field of Information Security’
Mikhail Yurievich Rytov, PhD in Engineering, Head of the Department of Information Security Systems of Bryansk State Technical University (the Russian Federation) delivered lectures on December 20 at the invitation of the Department of Automated Control Systems headed by Doctor of Engineering Anatoly Ivanovich Yakimov. Students majoring in 1–53.01.02 Automated Data Processing Systems attended lectures on the topic ‘Basic Information Security Concepts and Activities in the Field of Information Security’.
The topics of the lectures covered some issues that are important for specialists in the field of design and use of automated data processing and control systems:

- Classification of types of information to be protected.
- Characteristics of information security threats and their sources.
- The main directions in the field of creating integrated information security systems.
