SPRING CALLING
On April 8, students and staff members of the Belarusian-Russian University took part in the Belarusian authentic celebration of Spring Calling.
The festivities were initiated by volunteer students of the From Heart to Heart club and teachers of the Department of Humanities with assistance from the university staff trade union committee.
The festivities took place near the main entrance to the university building. Participants took part in folk rituals with Winter and Bear, called for Spring trying to wake her from her winter sleep, solved riddles and performed traditional round dances. The protagonist of the festivities, Spring, offered presents to the participants and guests.
