‘The Belarusian-Russian University is a healthy lifestyle area!’ This was the motto of the event held at the Belarusian-Russian University on the occasion of the World Health Day as part of the Healthy Lifestyle Week. This year, the event was arranged jointly with the Health Care Institution ‘Mogilev Zone Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology’ as part of the long-term prevention project ‘Healthy Young People Today, Healthy Nation Tomorrow’.
Students and staff of the university had the chance to participate in the quiz ‘What do I know about a healthy lifestyle?’ and test their knowledge. Heavy smokers were invited to participate in a mini-initiative ‘Exchange a Cigarette for Candy’ in order to encourage them to quit smoking.
In addition, a mini-survey ‘What is a healthy lifestyle for you?’ was carried out. It was found out that most people agree that a healthy lifestyle means getting rid of bad habits, keeping fit and having a positive outlook on life. During the event, some videos promoting a healthy lifestyle were shown, and the participants had the opportunity to have their photos taken in a photo area.
