The 2nd International Scientific Practical Forum ‘Methods and Instruments for Quality Control and Diagnostics of Objects’ was held at the educational institution ‘Belarusian State Academy of Aviation’ in Minsk on April 17-18, 2019.
The purpose of the Forum was to analyze modern approaches in non-destructive and destructive testing, to exchange experience in the use of instruments and control and testing systems for practical purposes and to discuss trends in the development of modern research equipment for science and manufacturing industry. The Forum opens a platform for dialogue, interesting joint solutions, efficient work with new equipment.
The Forum was organized by OOO Globaltest and Belarusian State Academy of Aviation. This year more than 100 representatives of industrial enterprises, non-destructive testing laboratories, universities, academic institutions and foreign companies took part in the Forum.
The opening address at the Forum was delivered by Rector of Belarusian State Academy of Aviation Artiom Arturovich Shegidevich.
At the Forum, papers and presentations were delivered by scientists and developers of well-known institutions and enterprises, among them: the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Matest S.p.A Unipersonale (Italy), GNR Analytical Instruments (Italy), OOO Laser-Export (St. Petersburg), MetCata Gmbh (Germany), OOO Globaltest (Belarus), the Belarusian-Russian University. The Department of Physical Methods of Control of the Belarusian-Russian University was represented by the Head of the Department S.S. Sergeyev who presented his paper ‘Experience of Practice-Oriented Training of Specialists in Non-Destructive Testing and Diagnostics at the Belarusian-Russian University’.
The exhibition featured modern equipment for research and industrial laboratories: ultrasonic flaw detectors and automated control systems for pipelines; video endoscopes; hydraulic and electromechanical universal testing machines, pendulum impact machines and presses for testing concrete, cement and asphalt; automated stationary and portable hardness testing machines; microscopes and sample preparation equipment; stationary and portable analyzers for metals and alloys; coordinate measuring machines; stationary and portable diffractometers. For the first time in the territory of the Republic of Belarus some innovations in the field of chemical analysis were presented: a portable laser metal and alloy analyzer ‘Elanik’ manufactured by the company OOO ‘Laser-Export’ and a portable diffractometer for determining residual stresses of materials ‘GNR SpiderX’ manufactured by GNR Analytical Instruments.
Most of the papers presented at the Forum aroused a keen interest among both manufacturers and specialists involved in developing methods and means of non-destructive testing.
The Forum offered its participants the opportunity to exchange the latest findings in the field of physics and technology of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics. Moreover, new scientific and business contacts were established among academic and university scientists and industry experts.
