Deputy State Secretary – a member of the Standing Committee of the Union State Aleksei Kubrin visited the Belarusian-Russian University on April 25, 2019.
A.A. Kubrin had a meeting with the administration of the Belarusian-Russian University where issues of organization of the educational process according to Belarusian and Russian educational programs implemented at the university, cooperation with Russian universities and research organizations, student employment and efficient functioning of the Belarusian-Russian University were discussed.
Besides, A.A. Kubrin visited the exhibition of achievements of scientists of the Belarusian-Russian University. In the new academic laboratory building, which was commissioned in December last year, A. A. Kubrin was shown laboratories with modern educational training and scientific equipment. In particular, in the laboratory for plasma, thermomechanical and foundry technologies, the students who follow the Russian educational programs showed the Deputy State Secretary of the Union State capabilities of a welding robot purchased with budget resources of the Union State. Rector of the Belarusian-Russian University M.E. Lustenkov spoke about the progress of the Union State project ‘Development of Educational and Scientific Activities of the Belarusian-Russian University Based on Innovative Technologies’, which is being implemented in 2018-2019.
In addition to equipping the university’s laboratories with modern equipment, the Project envisages development of a digital environment: acquisition of powerful software for engineering calculations, creation of specialized computer classrooms, seamless wi-fi roaming, etc. A. A. Kubrin visited the International Russian-Belarusian Center for Interregional Cooperation in the Field of Science, Education and Culture where he had the possibility to see the first results of the Project, in particular, the activities of the university engineering center SimTech.
