CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BELARUSIAN-RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY TEAM
The opening ceremony of the Republican Universiade-2019 was held at the sports base of the state institution ‘Regional Sports Complex Brest’ on May 16, 2019, in Brest. During the ceremony, winners of the Republican Universiade-2018 among higher education institutions in 4 groups were awarded.
The Belarusian-Russian University took second place in the third group and was awarded a Cup and a Certificate. Students-athletes of the Belarusian-Russian University took part in 29 kinds of sports competitions of the Republican Universiade-2018. The university teams performed well in the following sports: -summer sports ‘Health’ - 1st place;
- winter sports ‘Health’ - 2nd place;
- ski racing - 3rd place;
- biathlon and triathlon - 4th places,
- arm wrestling - 6th place;
- women’s judo – 6th place;
- women’s sambo – 7th place.
The most significant contribution to the team place was made by the following coaches and teachers: Pisarenko V. F., Perets N. A., Perets A. N., Samuilov D. N., Poprotsky V. S., Budayev M. L., Malysheva E. A., Kopylova E. A.
