Professor of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University V.S. Nagorny delivered a series of lectures on the modern theory of automatic system control for third- and fourth-year students majoring in ‘Hoisting-and-Transport, Construction, Road Machines and Equipment’ and ‘Land Transport and Technological Complexes’.
Teachers and postgraduate students of the Department of Transport and Technological Machines participated in a seminar, where the problems of training highly qualified professionals in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation were discussed. The issues of high-quality formation of competencies in the areas of study throughout the four-year training course based on modern information technology-based methods of teaching technical disciplines were addressed as well. Particular attention was paid to the effectiveness of knowledge assessment using Web-based tests.
A significant part of the seminar was devoted to discussing directions of the use of the automatic control theory for selection of parameters of machines and mechanisms at the design stage based on the principles of dynamic design.
