Today Kazan is a city with a thousand-year history, a point of intersection of cultural traditions of the West and the East, an organizer of significant international events.
The Belarusian team took part in the competition in 33 competencies in such areas as ‘Construction Technologies’, ‘Production and Engineering Technologies’, ‘Information and Communication Technologies’, etc. The Belarusian delegation was composed of contestants, experts, heads of institutions of higher, secondary specialized and vocational education, representatives of industrial enterprises of Belarus. The delegation was headed by Belarus Education Minister Igor Vasilievich Karpenko. The Belarusian-Russian University was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs N.V. Vologina.
The Belarusian-Russian University was the platform for training the WorldSkills Belarus National Team in the Mechatronics competency.
