The theme of the Forum was ‘Minsk Meets Mittweida - Economic Success Through International Education.’ The event is held under the patronage of President of the Landtag of Saxony, with the support of the government of Saxony, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Federal Republic of Germany. The aims of the Forum are to establish business contacts; promote cooperation between enterprises of Belarus and Saxony; develop new models of economic and trade cooperation, in particular, through international education; to study modern trend of modernization of production and optimization of activities of industrial enterprises.
Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in the Federal Republic of Germany welcomed the participants of the Forum.
Aleksandra Pankova took part in the session ‘Economic Cooperation and Higher Education as a Tool for Economic Growth’. The Forum participants presented their universities, their research activities and shared their experience of participation in student research projects and events. Besides, she participated in the workshops ‘Role of International Cooperation in Education and Comparison of Education Systems’, ‘Historical Issues and New Value of Regions of Eastern and Central Europe with a Focus on Belarus and Saxony,’ where student exchange programs between the two countries were presented, and listened to the speeches delivered by President of the Landtag of Saxony, representatives of the Landtag of Saxony, Minister of Culture of Saxony , Chief of the State Chancellery, etc. Aleksandra visited the Technical University of Dresden and its library as well as the Institute of Laser Technology and Media Center of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences.
