On November 21-22, the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Russia - Belarus: 20 Years of the Union State (Educational, Research, Social and Humanitarian Aspects of the Development of Russia-Belarus Relations)’ was held at the Belarusian-Russian University.
The following special guests attended the conference: Nadezhda Vasilievna Kalinina, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Political Sciences; Leonid Gennadievich Makurov, Deputy Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus; Valery Anatolievich Malashko, Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.
Professor Mikhail Evgenievich Lustenkov, Rector of the Belarusian-Russian University, Doctor of Engineering, welcomed the Conference participants.
The Conference aimed to boost interest in the problems of the creation of the Union State, its distinctive features that differentiate it from other integration associations, and had an important sociopolitical, scientific and humanitarian significance for the development of a common education area of the Union State.
The Conference was organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Inter-State Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘Belarusian-Russian University’.

As part of the conference, an exhibition of scientific, educational and cultural achievements of the Belarusian-Russian University was organized. Besides, the guests had the opportunity to observe the facilities of the Laboratory of Additive Manufacturing Technologies.
