BELARUSIAN-RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY TOOK PART IN DAYS OF BELARUSIAN EDUCATION IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGE-RIA
The delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus headed by Deputy Minister of Education S.V. Rudy visited the National Open University of Nigeria in Abuja as part of the Days of Belarusian Education in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Representatives of higher education institutions of Nigeria, representa-tives of the Embassy and the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Bela-rus took part in a round table on cooperation in the field of education. As part of the exhibition “Education in Belarus”, video presentations and materials about Belarus and its education system were shown. The repre-sentatives of educational institutions of Belarus provided information and printed materials on Belarusian education and universities, spoke to prospec-tive students and their parents. Besides, they discussed some issues of mutual interest with representatives of Nigerian universities.
In addition, a meeting with graduates of Belarusian (Soviet) universities, including members of the “Belarusniki” association of graduates of Belarusian universities in Nigeria, was held.
The Belarusian-Russian University was represented by Anatoly Iva-novich Yakimov, Head of the Department of Automated Control Systems, Doctor of Engineering.
