The world university ranking (Ranking Web of Universities) was updated in January, and its results have recently been announced. In January 2019, the Belarusian-Russian University was ranked 8142nd, and in July 2019 it occupied the 6348th position in the world ranking. Now the Belarusian-Russian University takes 6331st place. The university has moved up by 17 positions in the global (world) ranking over the past six months. The result may not seem as significant as a year ago, but in an intensely competitive environment it is quite satisfying. It should be noted that many Belarusian universities have been actively working to improve their ranking for the past six months. As a result, the Belarusian-Russian University dropped by one place from 13th to 14th place in the ranking of Belarusian universities but it retained first place among higher education institutions of the Mogilev region.
The Belarusian State Agricultural Academy has improved its position significantly, moving up from 8500th to 7391st place in the world ranking, and from 26th to 19th place in the ranking of Belarusian higher education institutions.
Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University takes 29th place in the ranking of Belarusian universities; six months ago it occupied the 27th position. At present, it is 9052nd in the world ranking; in July 2019 it was ranked 8850th. Mogilev State University of Food Technologies is ranked 37th. Six months ago it occupied the 36th position (12048th in January 2020 and 11707th in July 2019 in the world ranking). The Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus moved up one place from 39th to 38th in the ranking of Belarusian universities; it moved up from 12386th to 12080th in the world ranking.
It should be noted that the BIP-Institute of Law occupies the 15th position in the national ranking. However, the ranking evaluated not the Mogilev branch of the Institute of Law, but the site of the Institute located in Minsk. The current version of the January 2020 Edition 2020.1.1 rating was published on January 28, 2020. There may be subsequent revisions and data correction (Edition 2020.1.2 and others), which can change the existing situation. We will closely monitor the updates.
