The 16th International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics was held in Gomel by the Belarusian State University of Transport. The Olympiad took place as a remote theoretical competition. The task included six problems (two problems in three main sections of the discipline). The competition was attended by 260 students from 50 universities of the Republic of Belarus and other countries, such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, China, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The team of the Belarusian-Russian University consisted of the following students: Stanislav Shishov (MIR-181), Kirill Yakushenko (MIR-181), Daniil Stefanenko (AVT-171), Andrei Balazechko ( ATP-181) and Konstantin Zabagonsky (TM-181). The team was headed by associate professors of the Department of Mechanics Nikolai A. Levanovich and Igor V. Trusov.
The Belarusian-Russian University students took 5th place among the universities of the Republic of Belarus.
