REGIONAL CODING FEST 5 PROGRAMMING TOURNAMENT WINNERS: BELARUSIAN-RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Congratulations to Evgeny Makarov and Vladislav Furmanov, the students of the Belarusian-Russian University, Department of Software of Information Technologies, ASOIR-171 group, on winning the regional team programming tournament “Coding Fest-5” with the project “System of automated control of welders’ work and welding process quality” (research supervisors: Bolotov S. V., Zakharchenkov K. V.).
The developed system of automated control of welding processes helps improve the quality of welding operations and welder's performance by automatically monitoring operating modes of welding equipment by means of computers and mobile phones. The system can be used at oil and gas facilities, mechanical engineering and heat and power enterprises, which are engaged in installation and maintenance of pipelines.
Currently, Evgeny Makarov and Vladislav Furmanov are involved in performing work under the commercial contract with the Production Association Belorusneft under the supervision of Associate Professor Sergei Bolotov, PhD in Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
