BELARUSIAN-RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY: REPUBLICAN UNIVERSIADE-2019 PRIZE WINNERS
The Belarusian-Russian University took first place in the Republican Universiade-2019.
On November 10, 2020, the winners of the Republican Universiade-2019 among higher education institutions in four groups were announced at the awards ceremony held at the educational institution “Republican State College of the Olympic Reserve” in Minsk.
The awards ceremony was attended by First Deputy Head of Belarus President Administration, Chairman of the Belarusian Basketball Federation Ryzhenkov M. V., Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Kadlubay A.V., Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Baraulya A. I., Chairman of the Belarusian Association of Student Sports, champion of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Bogdanovich A.V., heads of higher education institutions and sports federations (associations).
The results of the team championship are as follows: first place was taken in the following sports: volleyball, judo, athletics, cross-country skiing, beach volleyball, biathlon, cycling, rowing and canoeing, triathlon, karate, shooting, arm wrestling, sambo, a multi-sport competition “Health” of the State Sports and Health Centre; second place was taken in table tennis, boxing, handball, powerlifting; third place was taken in kettlebell lifting, Thai boxing, chess. As a result, the Belarusian-Russian University took first place in the third group, scoring 1182.05 points, and received a Cup and a Certificate.
