INTERNATIONAL SPECIALIZED EXHIBITION “MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. METALWORKING. WELDING. KAZAN”
On December 2-4, Kazan hosted the 20th International Specialized Exhibition “Mechanical Engineering. Metalworking. Welding. Kazan.”
The joint stand of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus was organized by the Belarusian National Technical University, the Belarusian-Russian University, the Belarusian State University, the Brest State Technical University, the Belarusian State Technological University and Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
The exhibition of the mechanical engineering industry was accompanied by a professional and business round table discussion: “New approaches to intersectoral cooperation in the oil industry: Production. Service. Mechanical engineering. Finance”, as well as business meetings of leading representatives of mechanical engineering, metalworking and welding enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.
During the exhibition, the Belarusian-Russian University representatives held negotiations and signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation in the field of laser welding and cutting processes with Lassard Systems, a part of the Warton Group. The fiber laser welding technology and systems, which is a promising direction in the field of light gauge welding and complex alloy material welding, aroused particular interest among the visitors. This topic is highly relevant and important, as it is one of the promising growth areas for the Belarusian-Russian University and its inter-state scientific cooperation with the Russian Federation. Besides, the Belarusian-Russian University presented its developments in the field of machine parts surface strengthening, methods for improving wear resistance of cutting tools and coating techniques.
