On January 28, 2021, the first meeting of the Professorial Assembly was held at the Belarusian-Russian University.
The members of the Professorial Assembly were given their academic gowns and caps as a symbol of recognition of their achievements and contributions to science and education.
In his address, Chairman of the meeting, Rector of the University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M. E. Lustenkov outlined key goals and objectives of the Assembly and highlighted outstanding achievements of the university’s scientists. Deputy Chairman, Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V. M. Pashkevich spoke about the upcoming anniversary of the university and the creation of the university museum. The priority tasks facing the university today are enhancing the prestige of science, preserving the history and upholding the traditions of the university, involving young people in research, as well as maintaining continuity of generations.
The Professorial Assembly is an advisory body consisting of 17 highly-respected and experienced members of the Belarusian-Russian University’s faculty. The reasonable expert opinion of professors and Doctors of Science will become a reliable support in considering strategic issues of development of the Belarusian-Russian University.
