A meeting of student activists with the administration of the Belarusian-Russian University was held at the Belarusian-Russian University as part of the project “Discussing vital issues”. First Vice Rector Yury Mashin, a delegate of the 6th All-Belarusian National Assembly, Vice Rector for Extracurricular Activities A.V. Kazansky, Head of Department of Young People’s Extracurricular Activities T. V. Protasova and Secretary of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Public Association I. P. Shalygina, a delegate of the 6th All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, took part in the meeting.
Yury Mashin shared his experiences of participating in the 6th All-Belarusian People’s Assembly highlighting the important role of young people in strengthening the capacity of the Republic of Belarus. He spoke about the prospects of development of higher education and the university, as well as measures taken by the administration to improve the students’ learning and living environment.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues related to the organization of the teaching and learning process during COVID-19 pandemic, renovation of the university hall, creation of comfortable places for students’ study and leisure and facilities for student activists’.
The project “Talking about important issues” is an effective form of interaction between the university administration and the student activists, a platform for discussing and solving problems faced by students.
