Technology Transfer Center
Technology Transfer Center (TTC) is a structural subdivision of the Research and Development Unit of the Belarusian-Russian University. The Center was set up on May 15, 2009 by Order No 215 of BRU Rector Igor Sazonov.
The TTC is guided in its activities by the laws of the Republic of Belarus and resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, by orders and instructions of the Ministry of Education and its Collegium, decisions of the University Council, orders of the Rector of University, instructions of the Vice-Rector for Research and the Head of the Research sector.
The TTC runs its activities based on cooperation in technology transfer with the HEI of the Republic of Belarus, their scientific subdivisions, enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Belarus, as well as with international and national organizations of foreign countries. Also, the TTC of the Belarusian-Russian University maintains close ties with the Republican Center for Technology Transfer, Scientific and Analytical Center of Information, Innovations and Technology Transfer (the regional department for the Mogilev region), as well as with the Republican Innovative Enterprise “Science and Technology Park of BNTU "Polytechnic".
Main objectives of the TTC
Continuous updating of databases on scientific research carried out at the University.
Provision of guidance to R&D supervisors in carrying out work on technology transfer.
Selection of commercially promising University developments in science in technology to implement them. Carrying out market studies to identify potential markets in which scientific and technical developments can be implemented.
Patenting of objects of intellectual and industrial property, keeping registers of these objects, preparation and registration of license agreements, agreements on concession of rights.
Preparation of proposals for improvement of the legal framework to ensure legal protection of developments in the field of technology transfer.
Development of approaches to the commercial realization of research results and performance of necessary promotional activities.
Promotion of the use of the Internet and e-mail capabilities for the solution of technology transfer tasks.
Preparation of proposals to improve organization of work on technology transfer, and organizational and methodological support of this activity.
Elaboration of proposals for supporting innovative science and technological projects.
Support in attracting investments in the sphere of scientific and technical activities.
Functions of the TTC
Provides methodological assistance to departments and other structural units of the University in carrying out technology transfer operations.
Collects information on scientific developments and innovative projects and analyses them to determine the most important and competitive ones.
Creates and maintains the database of promising scientific developments.
Provides methodological support in the creation and maintenance of databases on advanced technologies.
Analyzes market conditions and trends in individual sectors in order to promote scientific and engineering products to the market.
Facilitates the establishment of business contacts with potential consumers of scientific and engineering products and implementers of the respective R&D work.
Provides methodological support in drafting and publication of advertizing brochures, booklets and catalogues of promoted technologies.
Participates in the implementation of research projects in the field of technology transfer and marketing.
Performs on contract basis all kinds of work on technology transfer, and marketing and advertising support of promising developments.
Renders methodological assistance in providing information on the transfer of scientific and engineering products through the Internet.
